FourNet Makes Major Advances in Sustainability and Social Value

Customer experience and digital transformation specialist FourNet has published its 2024–2025 Responsible Business Report, showcasing significant progress in sustainability, social impact and ethical governance over the past year.

The report outlines measurable year-on-year reductions in carbon emissions, stronger alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Global Compact, and continued improvements across governance priorities such as sustainable procurement, business ethics and community impact.

During the reporting period, FourNet generated £2,660,194 in verified social value through employment, skills development, charitable volunteering and long-term community partnerships. These outcomes reflect the company’s strategic approach to responsible business and its focus on delivering meaningful, measurable impact.

Industry Recognition for Social Value Leadership

FourNet’s progress has been recognised by equity investor Palatine, which awarded the company its newly launched “Leadership in Social Value” award. The recognition highlights FourNet’s outcomes-driven approach and its ability to align responsible business practices with customer expectations.

Stephanie Wall, Senior Sustainability Director at Palatine Private Equity, commented:

“FourNet has gone beyond compliance to create measurable impact, demonstrating that responsible business can be a competitive strength. Their focus on social value, ethical governance and sustainability places them among the top performers in our portfolio and the wider industry.”

Strong Sustainability Performance and Carbon Reduction

FourNet continues to rank among the top-performing companies globally for sustainability. According to EcoVadis, a leading sustainability ratings provider, FourNet is placed in the top 7% of organisations worldwide. Its score of 72 out of 100 exceeds that of 93% of all companies assessed in 2024 and significantly outperforms the ICT sector average score of 49.87.

The Manchester-headquartered business has also recorded ongoing reductions across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, reinforcing its long-term commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2050.

Responsible Business Embedded Across Operations

Richard Pennington, CEO of FourNet, emphasised that responsibility underpins every aspect of the company’s operations.

“From our investors to our employees, from every supplier decision to every project we deliver, responsible business is central to how we operate. We are committed to reducing both our own environmental footprint and that of our customers.”

He added that FourNet’s social initiatives, such as addressing the digital divide and supporting vulnerable individuals to avoid cybercrime, are natural extensions of its core business expertise.

Transparent Reporting and Independent Assurance

The Responsible Business Report has been prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and independently reviewed by Collins McHugh CSR Ltd, an accredited AA1000AS assurance provider. This ensures transparency, accountability and credibility in FourNet’s sustainability reporting.

With customers across UK central and local government, critical national infrastructure and enterprise sectors, FourNet states that responsible business is now fully embedded into every project, partnership and outcome it delivers.
